Lassa fever Awareness 

In my assessment, this hasn't got the presumed attention and awarenes considering that there are cases recorded in 5states in Nigeria, the death toll is about 10+ and counting, apparently we love to talk about SEX DOLLS more🤦. 
Lassa fever, also known as Lassa hemorrhagic fever (LHF), is a type of viral hemorrhagic fever caused by the Lassa virus.
Lassa Fever outbreak in Africa

Many of those infected by the virus do not develop symptoms. Symptoms are similar to those seen in Ebola,typhoid and malaria. 
Less commonly there may be bleeding from the mouth or gastrointestinal tract.The risk of death once infected is about one percent and frequently occurs within two weeks of the onset of symptoms.Among those who survive about a quarter have deafness which improves over time in about half. (Wikipedia) 
When symptoms occur it usually includes:

•Nausea

•Vomiting (bloody)

•Diarrhea (bloody)

•Stomach ache

•Constipation

•Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)

•Hepatitis

•Pericarditis

•Hypertension

•Hypotension

•Tachycardia (abnormally high heart rate)

•Cough

•Chest pain

•Dyspnoea

•Pharyngitis

•Pleuritis

•Encephalitis

•Meningitis

•Unilateral or bilateral hearing deficit

•Seizures

Prevention: There is yet to be a vaccine invented for it, prevention is mostly done through isolating those infected and maintaining a good hygiene (cleanUp, fumigation, etc).

Treatment: when detected early, the antiviral drug, Ribavirin is usually given.
